Their experiences with Iraq have forever changed their lives. Meet four members of the FDU community who served in Iraq as part of the U.S. mission and an alumna who traveled to Jordan and Syria to meet Iraqi refugees displaced by the war.

Crossing Borders and Bridging Divides
One of South Korea’s most respected leaders, alumnus Jae Kyu Park has crossed many borders, and not just geographical ones. The president of Kyungnam University, Park has embraced global education and maintained close ties to his alma mater. A scholar of North Korean studies, he played a leading role in the historic 2000 summit that transformed relations between the two Koreas.
