Assembling an advisory board for the DPT program, including private practice physical therapists, sports medicine experts, physiatrists and other physicians, to assist in moving the program forward.
Lewis Center for Healthcare Innovation and Technology was recently mentioned in a featured editorial appearing in the Wall Street Journal, written by Dr. Joseph Gulfo, Executive Director of the Lewis Center.
School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences:
- honored with a 2016 Corporate Culture award, issued by SmartCEO Magazine.
- has begun a collaboration with the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), the nation's leading accreditor of pharmacy compounding sites; will result in a first-of-its-kind curriculum focused on best practices in sterile compounding, to ensure patient safety.
- has begun a collaboration with the New Jersey Primary Care Association in Hamilton, N.J., which will include development of a plan for increased presence of pharmacists within the federally qualified health centers of New Jersey.
- has created a number of new student programs, including a mini-residency with Capital Health Systems in Trenton and Hamilton, N.J., and Community Medical Center, Barnabas Health System in Toms River, N.J.
- has developed a collaborative plan for interprofessional educational programming, using the Interprofessional Simulation Laboratory (located on the 3rd floor of the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences building).

A major firm has agreed to provide a gift of $5 million to support the construction of a new academic facility for the hospitality school. Still need to finalize mechanics of the gift and terms of the agreement.
ACPHA accreditation site visit went well-85% of standards met on initial evaluation. Anticipate achieving full accreditation status by July 2017.
North Arms (Wroxton) renovation plans are progressing well. Talking to a prospective operator. Also beginning a fundraising campaign to support renovations.

Identified Wealth Management Advisory as the "signature" program for the College. Hopeful that its success will create a "halo" effect for other Silberman programs. Goal is to become a leader in wealth management education and a destination for students, alumni and other business professionals in the field.
Will begin offering a minor in Digital Marketing to undergraduate students in Vancouver this spring.
Have identified 16 events related to increasing enrollment on both New Jersey campuses, only three of which are formal admissions events.
Ninety-two students are now signed up for a 4+1 program in the College, most of whom would likely not have continued for a graduate degree in the College otherwise. First big impact on graduate enrollments is anticipated in Fall 2017 (32 students).
Redesigning the MST curriculum and moving it to an online format. Hope to complete the redesign within 12 months. Anticipate an increase in enrollment of 50% or more going forward.

Secured a commitment from a major philanthropic and public service figure to spearhead the effort to raise money for the School from new donors, and to help recruit members of the advisory board with giving capacity.
Drafted a "Case" for the new School to be used for prospective donors.
Anticipate beginning a search for a Dean in early January 2017.

Creative Writing program has agreed to join the new School.
Next issue of Inside FDU will introduce the new School to a broader FDU audience.
Faculty in Entrepreneurship and Marketing are working with the Arts faculty to complete syllabi for courses to be included in the Arts curriculum.
Dean's Office working with Admissions to prepare for formal launch of School in Fall 2018.

University Provost is working with University Advancement on plans for new science facility.
Visits to new science buildings in NYC metro area have been planned, to ascertain the necessary components for a successful science facility that can support collaborative projects.
Considering "interdisciplinary thematic" areas that should be supported in the new facility. One, environmental sustainability, seems to be a natural choice as many science disciplines, including health sciences, can be supported under that heading.

Received a $232,000 estate gift for scholarships in the Silberman College of Business.
Giving to the University up by 12% year-to-date.
Alumni donors up 20% year-to-date.
Mike Moss and Chris Johnson have agreed to Co-chair the Capital Campaign: One University, Many Dreams.
Created a new color glossy publication that provides an overview of the University's 2015-2020 Strategic Plan.
Revamping 42 Hours of Giving to strengthen the University's social-media presence.
