In the 1960s, Harry Keyishian was at the center of a landmark case before the Supreme Court that essentially ended the era of loyalty oaths in education. Now an FDU professor emeritus, Keyishian recalls the case, the atmosphere of the times and the ruling’s impact across the land.
Ivana Viani’s dreams, much like the road she has traveled, seem to have no boundaries. Raised amid poverty and violence in Croatia, she moved to the United States with less than $100. But she worked hard, entered community college and then FDU, where she excelled. Now, she’s at Harvard Medical School. Read her incredible story.
