After a national search, Fairleigh Dickinson University found its new leader close to home. Sheldon Drucker, FDU’s chief operating officer, who was serving as interim president, was named the seventh president in the institution’s history. Drucker discusses the appointment, his thoughts on FDU today and his goals for the future.
In the spirit of University founder Peter Sammartino, the Sands of Time program provides students social, intellectual and cultural experiences outside the classroom as well as off campus.
These students in their golden years are looking to continue a lifelong educational journey. Senior citizens living near the College at Florham benefit from FDU’s Florham Institute for Lifelong Learning (FILL), which provides a flexible and convenient course program for ongoing social and intellectual stimulation.
Bullying has become an epidemic throughout the nation, with many horrific cases leading youngsters to depression, violence and even suicide. FDU experts, including psychology professor Yolanda Hawkins-Rodgers and alumna Cindy Miller, BS’90 (T), discuss bullying, its impact and preventive methods.
