Gregory Olsen Endowed Chair
Announced at convocation, the first holder of the Gregory Olsen Endowed Chair in Mathematics, Science and Engineering is Vladimir Zwass, distinguished professor of computer science and management information systems. In 2006, alumnus Gregory Olsen, BS’66, BS’68, MS’68 (T), presented FDU with the largest gift in its history — $5 million — designating a part of that gift to create the endowed chair. A world-renowned scientist and successful entrepreneur, Olsen was the third private citizen to journey into space.
